Son of Knut Olavson Vesterdal & Gunnhild Brekke.== Hilma Jenus: Of my father's Norwegian family, four of the brothers came across the Atlantic. Three went to Canada, out west - the oldest (my Uncle Olav (Knut V.'s father), and two unmarried uncles, Johans and another Knut. The fourth brother was my father. Since he was the lucky one who managed to go to university in Norway (Trondheim's Institute of Technology) and beome a chemical engineer, he came to New Jersey and worked for at least 38 years for Esso (Exxon) Research and Engineering. He married my Lambrechts mother in 1931 after he had been in the USA for almost 6 years.
